Choosing Your Moment
Most people book the Serengeti for the Mara River crossings (July–October), and it's spectacular. But February's calving season in the southern Serengeti is an experience of a different order — hundreds of thousands of wildebeest calves born within a 3-week window, and every predator on the plain knows it.

Where to Stay
Our preferred camps move seasonally to follow the migration. We partner with two family-owned mobile camps that pack up and reposition as the herds move north, so guests wake up in the right place — not where it was spectacular three weeks ago. Permanent lodges are beautiful, but fixed locations miss the point of the Serengeti.
